In November, M.Sc. Ola Mrzygód was on a two-weeks internship in prof. Pilar García Armada’s Research Group at the Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros Industriales, at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. The stay was financed by ID-UB – Research University Excellence Initiative, call no. 048 “Doctoral research – research, international training and workshops“. Ola gained some experience in the area of organosilicon-ferrocene-based compounds and their electrochemical properties. Prof. Armada is an experienced specialist in the field of redox-active materials and their application, e.g. in electrode modifications to be used in electrocatalysis or as amperometric sensors and biosensors. Her guidance was an undoubtful and significant help in the proper project realization.
