Online 19th International Symposium on Silicon Chemistry 2021 – Toulouse

19th International Symposium on Silicon Chemistry 2021 took place between 5-7th July 2021, in Toulouse. This is one of the most important international conferences in the field of organosilicon chemistry. This year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation, the conference was conducted only remotely.  Even though, it was a great opportunity to exchange scientific information, seek potential research groups for future collaboration, internships, etc.

Four of our group members took part in this big scientific event.

Dr Monika Rzonsowska – Oral Communication [OC-09] „Silsesquioxanes with substituted triazole ring and their complexing properties”

MSc Katarzyna Mituła – Poster Presentation [P073] „Double-Decker Silsesquioxanes (DDSQs) as Polysiloxanes Modifiers”

MSc Julia Duszczak – Poster Presentation [P016] „Linear double-decker silsesquioxane based macromolecular frameworks”

MSc Aleksandra Florkowska – Poster Presentation [P064] „Silsesquioxane derivatives as potential cores for dendritic systems”

Among 211 posters, the organizers awarded 20 people and 4 of them were from Adam Mickiewicz University. It was great to hear that Katarzyna was one of the Winners of the Poster Prize.

Congratulations to all Awarded!
