The 5th SFM 2021 – online on 24-25.09 – Beijing, China

On 24-25 September 2021, we were taking part in the 5th International Symposium on Silsesquioxane-Based Functional Materials, organized and held by Beijing University of Chemical Technology, Beijing, P.R. China (Chairman: Prof. Qifang Li). This was the online version of the symposium. Distinguished scientists from all over the world who contributed to the development of Silsesquioxanes-Based Materials presented their results, i.a. prof. R. Laine, prof. M. Unno, prof. H. Liu, prof. M. Wong-Chi-Man and others.

To expand the audience and the impact of the symposium, a live academic platform (https://www.koushare.com/) was used to share the lectures and presentations. Beata Dudziec was invited to present the results of our group in a lecture entitled: “Synthetic Protocols to obtain Selected Functionalized Silsesquioxanes as Precursors to Advanced Materials”.

Also, Adam Mickiewicz University was proposed to organize the next, i.e. the 6th SFM symposium in 2023.

Additionally, the PhDs and PhD Students from prof. UAM Beata Dudziec, prof. UAM Robert Przekop and prof. Bogdan Marciniec were asked to present 3-5 min flash talks on their research topics:

Monika Rzonsowska, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, Poland
Synthesis and coordinating ability of SQs-based triazole-derivatives
Katarzyna Mituła, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, Poland
