Linking the idea of SQs with dendrimers possessing Si-H function

Our next work was published just yesterday in the prestigious RSC Inorganic Chemistry Frontiers journal. This is a good collaboration work dealing with the elaboration of a synthetic protocol to gain a series of silsesquioxane dendrimers with different cores, from mono-T8, octa-T8 silsesquioxane to di- and tetrafunctional double-decker silsesquioxanes with reactive Si-H moiety. They were obtained in a one-pot synthetic path based on a sequence of Si-H hydrosilylation and Si-Cl reduction reactions. The protocol was verified in terms of a few factors, i.e. placement of the reactive Si-H and Si-Vi bond in substrates and two reducing agents (LiAlH4 and Red-Al®), respectively.
